Fixed Price Services for Alaska Clients

Alaska is our home, and Katmai Solutions is dedicated to supporting and expanding public safety and emergency management within the state. Alaska provides unique challenges in environment, geography, resources, and culture. With many public sector officials wearing multiple hats daily, planning, training, and exercise can take a back burner to day-to-day tasks.

Our “menu” of fixed price Alaska Services are designed to supplement, on a task or hourly basis, daily staff to free up municipality and tribal leader’s time for other pressing projects. In addition, general consulting services are available for our Alaska clients where the need does not fit into a pre-defined project. These services are available at a significantly discounted rate, with most items being provided remotely. On-site services are available for an additional cost. We look forward to supporting your community and citizens.

For local government and non-profit sector Alaska clients, we offer a “menu” of fixed price services designed for ease of procurement and a low administrative burden which are provided by our consulting team with a diverse background and expertise in multiple areas, many with specific experience within Alaska.

GENERAL PUBLIC SAFETY/EM CONSULTING
Katmai Solutions offers emergency management (mitigation, planning, preparedness, response, recovery, and grants) and public safety (Fire, Law Enforcement, EMS, and Dispatch) Subject Matter Expertise (SME) consulting and technical assistance. These services are billed on a monthly basis and are available at a discounted rates:

  • Pay as you go ($155/hour)
  • Prepay 40 hours ($124/hour) – $4,800
  • Prepay 80 hours ($120/hour) – $9,200
  • Prepay 120+ hours ($115/hour) – $13,200

Client must sign an Agreement for Consulting and Training Services and use retainer funds within one year.

PLANNING
Katmai Solutions will review and provide update recommendations for an existing or draft EOP or COOP document. Update recommendations will provide a basis for a workplan necessary to fully update the document to comply with current FEMA guidance for respective document. Minor recommendations may be ready for direct insertion into plan. Major recommendations will likely require additional work prior to incorporation into the plan.

  • The cost for this service is $2750
  • Estimated turnaround time is 30 days

TRAINING & EXERCISE

Additional options or custom solutions are also available.

  • Real-World Incident Review & After Action Report and Improvement Plan – $1,500
    • Review of response documentation
    • 2-hour facilitated virtual hotwash with key incident responders identified by the client
    • Completed AAR/IP on the DHS&EM form
  • Half-Day Tabletop Exercise with AAR/IP (virtual) – $1200
    • Client will identify basic scenario information and up to 2 objectives/areas to evaluate
    • Client will identify and invite participants
    • Consultant will complete development of scenario, facilitate TTX/hotwash
    • Completed AAR/IP on DHS&EM form
  • Half-Day TTX with AAR/IP (in-person) – $2400 + Travel
    • Same as above held in-person
    • Fee is per facilitator/instructor/evaluator
  • Full-Day TTX with AAR/IP (in-person) – $3000 + Travel
    • Same as above
  • Exercise Evaluation/Observation – $800 + Travel
    • Fee is per evaluator/observer
    • Consultant will observe/evaluate exercise conducted by client and provide written findings based on client provided exercise evaluation guides and exercise objectives

Client must sign an Agreement for Consulting and Training Services and use retainer funds within one year.

GRANT WRITING/REPORTING ASSISTANCE

In addition to the fixed rate grant assistance services listed below, we can provide custom cost estimates for a wide variety of grant writing, reporting, and management assistance.

  • Alaska Assessment Quarterly Survey – $1200
    • Estimated turnaround 1-2 weeks
  • EHP Form Preparation – $300
    • Estimated turnaround 1-2 weeks
  • SHSP Application with 1 project $800; each additional project $100
    • Estimated turnaround 1-4 weeks
